A sunny happy ride with Aki🏇

At the riding club in Osaka. Akizakura (meaning ‘autumn cherry blossom😊 we want to see it, right?) is a thoroughbred, handsome, super-friendly ex-racehorse who loves attention more than jumping over the fences…

Beware of engine, my friend!

This is my ginger friend, our furry neighbour cat…loves to take his siesta under the car…envy your freedom, knows no boredom 🙂

Orange marmalade pound cake😊

Perfect starter for Autumn is our home-baked orange marmalade & raisin pound cake❤❤❤

We used home-grown, perfectly organic lovely oranges from our garden, the result is bitter-sweet marriage of orange peels and ripe black raisin…enchanting flavour of the new season 🍁🍂

Golden blossom in autumn!

At the powder room?

Horse grooming after an early morning ride!

Turn out time in the field…

Organic potatoes from our garden🥰

Not much, but enough for our sweet potato pie (yes, it’s an important annual event…)

Et voila!!!

Big, fat, home-baked pies right from the oven🍠❤❤❤

Our beautiful stallion against the backdrop of Mt. Hiei

Picture-perfect isn’t he😉 A breath of fresh air under the clear blue sky!

How are you today?

Our unicorn? is always in a good mood, he runs to me from far away as soon as he catches a glimpse of me!

Breakfast time…

Give me some!

On the road to the mountains…

Deer watching is something you can enjoy in this area. You see below, there are at least five deer who regularly come out in search of food…

She is the friendly one.

And the family behind😉

1/2 second before backing off…

Hello again🏕🏞

On the mountain slope, I came across her again!

Orange polypolus.

Nothing really matters, only what is in your eyes😉

Can I ride in the meadow all the time? Don’t be shy, only for a ride!

One last time for today

see you another time!

I went to Shingu Shrine to the northeast of Kitayama Station.

Behind the shrine, you see this amazing cherry blossom standing alone in glacial silence.

So rare, so precious winter poem🌸

Spring water on the slope of ‘fox road’.

According to classic writings, this well has never dried out until today.

This is Matoiwagami Shrine, on the road to Matsugasaki.

The shrine was built in honour of the rocks on top of the stairs. Very rare in Kyoto!

We wish you a wonderful Christmas❣🥰🎉🎁

I bake this lovely strawberry cake every year. This time we can’t have get-together parties with friends…just a little family Christmas and a piece of cake🍰

Season’s greetings and best wishes for the New Year!!

Nights will be dark and days will be light, wishing your life to be always bright, and end of the ordeal be in sight😊🎈

Special day for grooming😊

Today was the first trial day of my new ‘maine and tail conditioner’ on this lovely bay beauty❤

Harbinger of spring!

The air is still chilly, but let us warm up by this wonderful plum blossom😊

…and with a sign of peace✌

This is the rare hollyhock blossom in our patio💖

You see the quite discreet, tiny flower hidden under the leaves. Now you’ve uncovered it😉

This otherwordly flower is native to Japan, called Yukiyanagi. Literally, ‘snow willow’. Snow covered willow in spring against the cherry blossom 🌸

Weeping cherry blossom smiles in sweeping wind😄

Greetings!

He gives a big snort when saying hello…in horse language🐴

Standing here, my shadow unwilling to part from the last cherry blossom in wind…

Wild camellia.

Paeonia obovata, a flower similar to peony.

Fringed iris, usually seen in the mountains.

Bonjour, Bambi🦌

Happy New Year 2022🎉
